We completed our 4th workshop on February 27th

Our fourth workshop was presented by the inspirational poet, Jehan Bseiso. The generative workshop was titled “Then You Read : A Documentary Poetry Experience” and exposed our participants to a selection of contemporary poetry focused on individual and collective loss, heartbreak, and exile. We thank Ms. Bseiso for planting seeds of poetry in each participant and contributing to the Write to Remember project. #writetorememberaug4

First Open Mic Event

We are thrilled to announce that our first open mic event was held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Aaliya's Books in Gemmayze, Beirut! Majd Shidiac, a spoken-word poet based in Beirut, hosted the event, which allowed Write to Remember participants to share their writing with the larger community. We were touched by the participants' words, and we commend our participants for their courage, willingness, and eagerness to share their stories and to support each other during the event.
