Don’t Leave Me, When I Need You

Marita Joulfayan
Don’t leave me, when I need you.
The promise we made shall not be broken.
Don’t leave me hanging, all teary and blue.

Tried not to look but all I see is you.
Wherever I look far, close, or even when I am woken.
Don’t leave me, when I need you.

You, walking out, stabbed all my confidence, and I blew.
Away, away from you and all my sorrows that could not be spoken.
Don’t leave me hanging, all teary and blue.

Made me think, it could have worked, but I had no clue.
Betrayal hurt and words couldn’t be forged nor spoken.
Don’t leave me, when I need you.

At least true colors were shown; exactly on that avenue.
The one where I waited for the infamous turn back indicating a betoken.
Don’t leave me, when I need you.

Now, I am scared, lost, and hopeless because of you.
Wish I never met you, even if our words were misspoken.
Don’t leave me, when I need you.
Don’t leave me, all teary and blue.
